Hot Sauce #6 – Tropical Chile Company Hot n’ Honey Hot Sauce Review
“Caribbean Flavor! Caribbean Heat! Caribbean Memories! Caribbean Love!”
So says the bottle of Tropical Chile Company Hot n’ Honey Hot Sauce.
Hot Sauce #6 – Tropical Chile Company Hot n’ Honey Hot Sauce
I don’t care what the label says, this sauce is so simple, it shouldn’t taste this good.
It has only 7 “all natural” ingredients: Aged Cayenne & Habanero Peppers, Sugar, Garlic, Vinegar, Honey and Salt.
Yet it has a sweet, spicy totally unique flavor that I can’t quite put my finger on. There is something odd there. Maybe it’s the “aged” peppers.
Whatever it is, I love it!
Even with habaneros on the ingredients list, there’s not a lot of heat. More of a tingling in the throat while the sweet flavor sticks to the tongue.
It’s too sweet for eggs or soup. And a little much for steaks or burgers.
But it’s perfect for dipping or glazing.
I have used it to glaze wings and then dip them in while I eat. I’ve also eaten it on ham sandwiches, pork chops and as a glaze for baked fish. I think it would make a perfect glaze for a baked ham or turkey — although you would need several bottles.
I got this sauce just before I started this blog, and I like it so much, I find that, even with all my other sauces, I have used almost the entire bottle in a little over a month.
No worries — this is a keeper and I do plan to get some more.

Information:
Ingredients: Aged Cayenne & Habanero Peppers, Sugar, Garlic, Vinegar, Honey and Salt.
Where I got it: Danged if I can remember. Probably Kroger or Whole Foods.
Their Website: I cannot find one. I don’t see them offered on Amazon either. Does anyone know if Tropical Chile Company is still in business or where to find them?

Although I couldn’t find a parent company, I did find these sauces available on several different food/sauce websites…
You’re Welcome.

@James Martin: James,
Thank you for the effort.
Yes, I actually saw that site — but since I haven’t personally tried them, I didn’t want to link to them.
It’s cool though that you have. Let me know if you order from them (that goes for anyone reading this) and what kind of experience you have with them.
Always good to have quality sources.
Thanks again,
Mark

U.S.Sauce distributes these, we carry all four in the line! Hot n’ Honey, West Indian, Sweet Revenge, and Curry Delight. You can find them at eathot.com, although our site is currently under construction. You should be able to still purchase them, let us know if you run into any trouble. Enjoy and thanks for the review!
