I scored 17 new hot sauces in October — all on a trip to New Orleans and a Caribbean Cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel — including several that would be impossible to find at home.
Dinner at Ramiro’s Cantina here in Louisville was 5-Star delicious. Star #1 – Tequila Carnitas. Star #2 – Guacamole. Star #3 – Refried Beans. Star #4 – Cantina Margarita. And Star #5 – Ramiro’s House Made Tomatillo Hot Sauce.
We go to the Windy City for a long weekend trip every summer. We stay at a nice hotel downtown, eat at world-class restaurants and favorite local dives and generally enjoy ourselves for a few days. Naturally, I look for new hot sauces while I am there. That’s one thing I always enjoy.
For the past 4 years I have taken a different route each year from my home in the ‘Ville down to our family reunion in Middleton, KY. This year’s new route gained me 4 new hot sauces along the way.
One of my favorite Louisville Food Trucks has a new hot sauce for me to try. Ya gotta love that.
I continue to enjoy my cheap hot sauce collections from Big Lots. This is the last of the bunch for this year – But maybe the best.
The names and bottles are Sunday Afternoon Football good. And the packaging is Monday Night Football – my favorite I have seen so far. The sauces, unfortunately, are Pop Warner.
